Four New Cases in Dubuque County, 345 New Cases and 9 More Deaths in Iowa

Positive Cases
From 2 p.m. yesterday to 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported four additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, putting the county total at 345. For the state, 345 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 19,243 positive cases.  

No additional deaths were reported in Dubuque County since 2 p.m. yesterday, keeping the county total at 18.  Nine additional deaths were reported statewide putting the state death total at 531. 

As of this 2 p.m. today, 5,416 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 75 from yesterday. 150,840 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 3,400 since yesterday.    Iowa has a positive test rate of 12.8 percent while Dubuque County’s is 6.4 percent.  One in 18 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 21 Iowans have been tested.

Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
As of 2 p.m.. today, there are 39 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, up one from yesterday.  There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 12 recovered cases (no change from yesterday).  Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,558 positive cases at long-term care facilities (up 26 from yesterday), 704 recovered (up 33 from yesterday), and 248 deaths (four more than yesterday)The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.

Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 368 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of eight from yesterday.  The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized remains at five.Statewide, 10,972 Iowans have recovered (up 261 from yesterday), including 165 Dubuque County residents (up one from yesterday).
