Six New Cases in Dubuque County, 658 More Cases and 15 Deaths in Iowa
Positive Cases
Since 2 p.m. yesterday, the IDPH reported six additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, putting the county total at 329 as of 2 p.m. today (Tuesday). For the state, 658 additional cases were reported since 2 p.m. yesterday. Iowa now has a total of 18,360 positive cases.
Deaths
Fifteen additional deaths were reported for Iowa since 2 p.m. yesterday, bringing the state total to 490. IDPH did not report any additional deaths for Dubuque County since yesterday’s update so the county total remains 16.
Testing
As of this 2 p.m. today,139,946 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 4,666 since yesterday. In Dubuque County, 4,954 individuals have been tested, up 104 from yesterday. Iowa has a positive test rate of 13.1 percent while Dubuque County’s is 6.2 percent. One in 20 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 23 Iowans have been tested.
Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
As of 2 p.m.. today, there are 36 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks (three or more positive cases among residents and staff), one less than yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 12 recovered cases (no change from yesterday. Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,492 positive cases at long-term care facilities, 629 recovered, and 233 deaths. The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of Tuesday, 393 Iowan’s were hospitalized due to COVID-19, an increase of 14 from Monday. During that same time, the number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized from from 10 to eight.Statewide, 9,983 Iowans have recovered (up 355 from yesterday), including 154 Dubuque County residents (up three from yesterday).
