COVID-19 Exposure Risk Assessment

A COVID-19 Risk Assessment Planning Tool Developed by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Stanford University estimates the following chances of exposure to COVID-19 for gatherings in Dubuque County:

  • 50 people = 98%
  • 25 people = 85%
  • 15 people = 68 %
  • 10 people = 53%

  • Dubuque County: 88 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 8,498
  • Iowa: 3,626 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 206,659

DEATHS

  • Dubuque County: No additional deaths. Total deaths to date = 89
  • Iowa: 32 additional deaths. Total deaths to date = 2,159

HOSPITALIZATIONS

  • Dubuque County Residents Hospitalized =  59* as of Nov. 20. (8 more than Nov. 18.)

Iowans Currently hospitalized = 1,416 (31 less than yesterday.)

  • Dubuque County: New recoveries = 73. Total number of recoveries = 5,108
  • Iowa: New recoveries = 1,442. Total number of recoveries = 115,734

LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY OUTBREAKS
Dubuque County:  4 long-term care facility outbreaks (same as yesterday) with 177 positive cases (1 more than yesterday), 10 new positive cases in the last 14 days, and 87 recoveries (same as yesterday):

  • Dubuque Specialty Care, Dubuque (70 positive cases, 7 in the last 14 days, and 41 recoveries)
  • Luther Manor Communities, Dubuque (82 positive cases, 0 new positive cases in the last 14 days, and 38 recoveries)
  • ManorCare Health Services, Dubuque (13 positive cases, 0 new positive cases in the last 14 days, and 5 recoveries)
  • Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade (12 positive cases, 3 new positive cases in the last 14 days, and 3 recoveries) 

Iowa: 121* outbreaks (4 more than yesterday) with 4,397 positive cases, 1,904 recoveries, and 993 deaths to date.

TESTING & POSITIVITY RATE (Calculated by IDPH)

Dubuque County:

  • 266 more individuals tested. Total residents tested to date = 42,310
  • Test Positivity Rate: 14-day average = 20.9%, average to date = 20.1%.

Iowa:

  • 9,141 more individuals tested. Total Iowa residents tested to date = 1,153,812
  • Test Positivity Rate: 14-day average = 21.2%, average to date = 17.9%
