30 New Cases in Dubuque County, 371 New Cases and 6 Deaths Statewide

24-HOUR CHANGES & NEW TOTALS  
(11 a.m. yesterday to 11 a.m. today): 

POSITIVE CASES 

  • Dubuque County: 30 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 3,731
  • Iowa: 371 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 92,914

DEATHS 

  • Dubuque County: No additional deaths. Total deaths to date = 44 
  • Iowa: 6 additional deaths. Total deaths to date = 1,387

TESTING & POSITIVITY RATE (As reported by the Iowa Department of Public Health)


Dubuque County:

  • 105 more individuals tested. Total residents tested to date = 31,449
  • Dubuque County Test Positivity Rate: 14-day average = 15.0%, average to date = 11.9%.  

Iowa:

  • 2,669 more individuals tested. Total Iowa residents tested to date = 824,070
  • Iowa Test Positivity Rate: 14-day average = 8.8%,  average to date = 11.3%

HOSPITALIZATIONS 

  • Dubuque County: Hospitalized = 19 as of Oct. 3. (7 fewer than Oct. 2.) 
  • Iowa: Currently hospitalized = 389.  (3 less than yesterday.)

RECOVERIES 

  • Dubuque County: New recoveries = 10. Total number of recoveries = 2,223
  • Iowa: New recoveries = 227. Total number of recoveries = 71,809

LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY OUTBREAKS 

  • Dubuque County: Two long-term care facility outbreaks:
    Sunnycrest Manor, Dubuque (16 positive cases, 12 recoveries)
     MercyOne Dyersville Senior Care, Dyersville (15 positive cases, 0 recoveries) 
  • Iowa: 52 outbreaks (same as yesterday)
