57 New Cases as Hospitalizations Reach 26 in Dubuque County, 665 New Cases and 4 Deaths Statewide

24-HOUR CHANGES & NEW TOTALS  
(11 a.m. yesterday to 11 a.m. today): 

POSITIVE CASES 

  • Dubuque County: 57 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 3,701
  • Iowa: 665 new cases. Total confirmed cases to date = 92,543

DEATHS 

  • Dubuque County: No additional deaths. Total deaths to date = 44 
  • Iowa: 4 additional deaths. Total deaths to date = 1,381

TESTING & POSITIVITY RATE (As reported by the Iowa Department of Public Health)

Dubuque County:

  • 231 more individuals tested. Total residents tested to date = 31,344
  • Dubuque County Test Positivity Rate: 14-day average = 14.9%, average to date = 11.8%.  

Iowa:

  • 4,523 more individuals tested. Total Iowa residents tested to date = 821,401
  • Iowa Test Positivity Rate: 14-day average = 8.8%,  average to date = 11.3%

HOSPITALIZATIONS 

  • Dubuque County: Hospitalized = 26 as of Oct. 2. (1 more than Oct. 1.) 
  • Iowa: Currently hospitalized = 392.  (10 less than yesterday.)

RECOVERIES 

  • Dubuque County: New recoveries = 8. Total number of recoveries = 2,213
  • Iowa: New recoveries = 274. Total number of recoveries = 71,582

LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY OUTBREAKS 

  • Dubuque County: Two long-term care facility outbreaks:
    Sunnycrest Manor, Dubuque (16 positive cases, 12 recoveries)
     MercyOne Dyersville Senior Care, Dyersville (13 positive cases, 0 recoveries) 
  • Iowa: 52 outbreaks (same as yesterday)
