No New Cases in Dubuque County, 236 New Cases and Two More Deaths in Iowa
Positive Cases
Between 2 p.m. yesterday and 2 p.m. today, the IDPH reported no new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, keeping the county total at 384. For the state, 236 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 23,922 positive cases.
Deaths
No additional deaths were reported in Dubuque County so the county total remains at 21. Two additional deaths were reported statewide increasing the state death total at 652.
Testing
As of 2 p.m. today, the IDPH website reported that 6,742 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 75 from yesterday, with a positive test rate of 5.7 percent. 224,998 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 5,036 since yesterday, for a positive test rate of 10.6 percent. One in 14 Dubuque County residents have been tested and one in 14 Iowa residents.
Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
According to the IDPH, as of 2 p.m. today there are 36 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, the same as yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 51 positive cases and 14 recovered cases (no change since yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,318 positive cases at long-term care facilities (two more than reported yesterday), 777 recovered (same as yesterday), and 341 deaths (same as reported yesterday). The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.
Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 203 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, three more than yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized is three, the same as yesterday. Statewide, 14,375 Iowans have recovered (up 55 from yesterday), including 219 Dubuque County residents (two more than yesterday).
