One Additional Death and No New Cases in Dubuque County, 130 New Cases and 13 More Deaths in Iowa


PLEASE NOTE: The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) website/dashboard had some delayed updates and data inconsistencies today. The numbers in this update are what are currently being reported by the IDPH.

Positive Cases
From 2 p.m. yesterday to 4:45 p.m. today, the IDPH reported no new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County, keeping the total to 350. For the state, 130 additional cases were reported in that same time frame giving Iowa a total of 20,146 positive cases.

Deaths
One additional death was reported in Dubuque County since 2 p.m. yesterday, putting the county total at 21. Thirteen additional deaths were reported statewide increasing the state death total at 574. 

Testing
As of this 4:45 p.m. today, the IDPH website reported that 5,717 Dubuque County residents have been tested, up 57 from yesterday. 166,671 Iowans have been tested, an increase of 2,553 since yesterday.

Long-Term Care Facility Outbreaks
As of 4:45 p.m. today, there are 42 long-term care facilities in Iowa with COVID-19 outbreaks, one more than yesterday. There is one long-term care facility outbreak in Dubuque County at Dubuque Specialty Care, which has 49 positive cases and 14 recovered cases (no change from yesterday). Statewide, IDPH is reporting 1,601 positive cases at long-term care facilities (up 12 from yesterday), 798 recovered (up 39 from yesterday), and 286 deaths (20 more than reported yesterday)The number of cases and recovered include both residents and staff.

Hospitalizations & Recoveries
As of today, 314 Iowans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of 13 from yesterday. The number of Dubuque County residents hospitalized remains at five. Statewide, 12,106 Iowans have recovered (up 401 from yesterday), including 195 Dubuque County residents (up seven from yesterday).
